Hybrid Motorcycle Concept Izh

This concept for a hybrid motorcycle was conceived by Russian designer Igor Chak. The design is a comprehensive vision in terms of safety and technological features. It has a navigation system, augmented reality and provides interactivity with mobile devices. In terms of safety features, the bike is conceptualized to have dual airbags, ABS, a deformable front-fork designed to dissipate energy in a crash and a night vision/radar system.
The engine is a 850cc V-twin engine that works in conjunction with a electric rear-wheel hub motor. Power for the electric engine comes from Lithium Sulfide batteries as these have a higher energy density as Lithium ion batteries. Overall, this is a very attractive concept with some very neat detailing such as the front lighting integrated in the forks, batteries integrated in the belly-pan and the slender seat section. Let’s hope we will see exciting designs like this in the near future on our roads.
